The Regionale Uitvoeringsdienst Zuid-Limburg (South Limburg regional implementing agency, RUD South Limburg) handles Activities Decree (Besluit algemene regels voor inrichtingen milieubeheer, Activiteitenbesluit) statements and requests for environmental permits for companies that fall under the Environmental Permitting (General Provisions) Act (Wet algemene bepalingen omgevingsrecht, Wabo). We do this on behalf of our clients.
RUD South Limburg also takes care of the granting of permits to high-risk companies to which the Major Accidents (Risks) Decree of 1999 (Besluit risico's zware ongevallen, BRZO) applies throughout the whole of the Province of Limburg.
Integrated environmental permit (Omgevingsvergunning)
Depending on the activity, for example changing a business process or physically expanding the business, complex businesses must apply for an environmental permit. If you already have a permit, you must have it changed as soon as changes take place in your business premises or business operations. You can submit an application or change an environmental permit digitally in your own municipality through Omgevingsloket.
Activities Internet Module (AIM)
The Activities Decree lists the environmental rules and regulations to which you need to adhere as an entrepreneur. This includes rules and regulations that determine the prevention of noise and odour pollution as well as rules that delineate the treatment of waste and waste water. An Activities Decree statement can be submitted through the online program Activities Internet Module (AIM). You use this model to put together a package containing the rules and regulations that are focused on the activities of your business. This customized approach means that you know exactly which rules and regulation affect you.
